Associate Project Scientist and Lab Manager

Dr. Jennifer Phipps is a Project Scientist in Dr. Leigh Ann Simmons’ Health Equity Across the Lifespan (HEAL) Lab. She is the lead coordinator for Dr. Simmons’ R01, Goals for Reaching Optimal Wellness (GROWell), where she is involved with recruitment, retention and overall study management of this clinical trial in overweight and obese pregnant women. She is also Deputy Director of an ACEs Aware Network of Care Implementation grant in Yolo County, CA to address adverse childhood experiences across the lifespan.
Dr. Phipps has over 10 years of experience in cardiovascular imaging, including training as an NIH T32 Fellow and American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellow. Her long-term career goal is to use biomedical imaging to create novel and effective behavioral interventions targeted during pregnancy to prevent cardiovascular disease in women.
