Dr. Kim is a health informaticist interested in how mobile, social, and distributed technologies can improve collaboration and shared decision-making among patients, caregivers, and clinicians. In research, technology, and intervention development, she partners with patients and communities, including community health centers in Sacramento and the CA Central Valley, Native American tribes in Northern CA/Southern OR, and patient advocacy and citizen science interest groups. Dr. Kim has vast experience in multi-site collaboratives, including roles as: administrative project director of an NCI U56 Cancer Health Disparities Partnership, stakeholder engagement leader and site PI for the pSCANNER research network of 14 clinical institutions covering 35M patients, and participant engagement leader and site co-PI for the CA consortium of the national All of Us Precision Medicine Research Program.
