Dr. Yoo is an applied health economist and econometrics expert with long-term research experiences in disease prevention and health policy. Prior to UCD he was a Prevention Effectiveness Fellow/Health Economist at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester. Under a recent 2-year research contract with the CA Department of Public Health, he led a manuscript entitled “Cost-benefit analysis on a California statewide community-based lifestyle intervention” (under review). Dr. Yoo has expertise in employing behavior economics theory to develop community education programs.
