Book and Journal Clubs

Book Club

The POD Center hosts a book club, open to all faculty and trainees interested in participating! The book is chosen by popular vote, and we are always interested in suggestions for books to read. If you are interested in participating and are not already on the POD Center email list, please contact the POD Center Coordinator, Jen Phipps

Faculty and trainees: If you come across a book that would be interesting to discuss during Book Club, please add them to this Google Sheet!

Journal Club

POD Center trainees and faculty meet periodically to discuss publications that are relevant to the mission of the POD. The goals of journal club are to foster community, engage with primary literature, and broaden our knowledge of POD-related topics. We strive to choose publications that are interdisciplinary and interesting to many POD trainees and faculty. Trainees present the publications and lead discussion in order to  enhance their understanding of primary literature and practice public speaking. During the COVID-19 pandemic, journal clubs are being held over Zoom; once it is safe to meet again, journal clubs will be held in person. Please see the "Upcoming Events" tab for future journal club meetings.

Faculty and trainees: if you come across papers that would be interesting to discuss during Journal Club, please add them to this Google sheet
